AIODA is hosting the Australian Optimist Regatta at the Adelaide Sailing Club from 14-17 April 2021. In the event that all member states can attend without having to quarantine upon entry to SA or return to their home states, this regatta will be the 2021 AIODA National Championships.

Tthe regatta will be run somewhat differently than national level Opti events held in the past. These differences include, but are not limited to, the following:

• No formal Measurement day. The NOR will state that measurement inspections by the Technical Committee could happen at any time prior to the regatta.
• No Teams Racing
• Reduced entry fees per boat and no late entry fees
• Entries managed as Expressions of Interest with fees payable prior to start of regatta
• Simplified Opening, Welcome and Presentation functions that are appropriately socially distanced
• Run an Open Championship of up to 10 races and an Intermediate Championship of up to 8 races
